‘New Girl’ season 2 finale spoilers: First look at Taylor Swift with Zooey Deschanel

In just under two weeks, “New Girl” season 2 will be at an end, and we are going to have an opportunity to see something that has been several weeks in the making: Cece’s wedding. Of course, whether or not this is going to actually happening is an entirely different story. Considering that pretty much every single person in the “New Girl” fandom wants to see Schmidt and Cece together at the end of the day, we have a feeling that the odds are high that someone finds a way to call this off.

However, what many are almost as exited to see at the moment is just how Taylor Swift fits into the universe of the show. The “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer is set to appear in the episode as Elaine, but unfortunately, there is not much else known about the singer’s appearance just yet. Considering that this episode is entitled “Elaine’s Big Day,” though, we have to imagine that she has a pretty important role to play.

So how did Taylor take to the role? Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Jake Johnson (Nick) actually joked that she was so good at the part in such a short amount of time, he and the other actors were practically jealous:

“[It was] a little bit frustrating. She came in and is really nice. It’s not an easy scene. There were probably 70 extras there — though I’m sure she performs to so much bigger [crowds] than that on a regular basis. She had, like, a little monologue and delivered it perfectly. Liz gave her alternative jokes and lines, she delivered them all perfectly. It was frustrating!”
