‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ reunion review: Kenya Moore promotes in familiar hour
After two parts to the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion show, the show somehow found a way to cram even more content down our throats Sunday night with another hour of TV. Did we really even need this? We’re not entirely sure, mostly because at this point, there is one major problem with it: real life gets in the way. These specials are supposed to serve as some sort of catch-up and reflection for everything that’s happened since the end of the season, but we’ve already had some of that and then some in the tabloids.
The first example of this? Seeing what happened with NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak. While it was nice to see the two parties hug for the first time on TV in years, we already know from Twitter that these two have reconciled their friendship, so this already was dated.
The one other thing that was clearly awkward about this reunion? The fact that Porsha Stewart ended up breaking up with Kordell in real life, so hearing her talk about why he was not present at the special was uncomfortable and put the entire special in a vacuum.
With all of this being said, there were still a few highlights mixed in here, from some good video packages to the return of the men, which included conversation about the infamous Walter, Kenya Moore name-dropping “Gone with the Wind Fabulous” at almost every opportunity she could, and Andy Cohen perpetually wearing a look of confusion upon his face.
What did you think about this part of the reunion show, and do you really think that we’ve had a little bit too much of the reunion show this time around? If you want to check out some more news when it comes to this reunion, be sure to follow the link here.
