‘Homeland’ season 3: Where Damian Lewis will appear during filming break
Given that we know now that Damian Lewis will indeed be returning to “Homeland” for season 3, there is now another important question worth asking: where will he be appearing in his time off prior to the show’s return to Showtime in late September?
Well, we now have the answer: on a popular British TV show. It was confirmed on Wednesday that Lewis is going to be making an appearance on an upcoming episode of the BBC Two series “Top Gear,” where he will be taking part in the “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” segment. Host Jeremy Clarkson will interview Lewis, and then he will get to go for a test run around the track. It’s not a bad day’s work for the Emmy and Golden Globe winner, as he will get a chance to stay in his native Britain for the series.
It is ultimately unclear as to when Damian actually filmed his part for the show, but it is currently slated to air on the network on Sunday, January 27. (Presumably, it will also air at some point on BBC America.) Considering that the show is nearing its 20th season, it is obviously pretty clear that they are doing quite a bit right at the moment.
Lewis will likely return to the “Homeland” set in North Carolina in either April or May, depending on when the writers and producers decide they need a little bit more Nicholas Brody in their lives. We’ve already speculated that we will likely not see the character in every episode, but he will grow more significant as time goes on.
