‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: NeNe Leakes and the show’s big move

After spending all season long camped firmly at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is going to be jumping forward an hour starting on Sunday night, but hopefully still bringing some of the show’s famous drama along for the ride.

So what can we expect to see from the likes of the cast at 8:00 moving forward? Being that the timeslot is generally thought of as more family-friendly (even though it will surely not be in this case), it only seems appropriate that we start things off here by talking about family; specifically, the granddaughter of NeNe Leakes. In the newest clip that we have from the show below, the woman otherwise known now for “The New Normal” is seen taking who she is referring to as her “glam-daughter” out for a shopping session with Cynthia Bailey. Following a few weeks in Anguilla that have largely focused on Kenya Moore’s drama concerning her boyfriend Walter, isn’t it nice to have a little bit of something different now?

As for the reason behind the show moving to an earlier hour, we’re honestly not quite sure. It’s not like Bravo is trying to make a move in order to accommodate a new series in the place of “Shahs of Sunset” (which is also moving to an earlier timeslot). Instead, they are just repeating series at 10:00, and the only reason we can think of behind them doing this is to potentially give their two reality shows a better chance to shine against less competition on cable.
