‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Scotty McCreery
Being that we are in some ways still cooling down from the American Country Awards on Monday night, it only seems appropriate that we kick off this Tuesday edition of “American Idol” notes by featuring some new interviews with a pair of past winners who were on the red carpet for the show.
The videos below come to us courtesy of E! News, and they feature Scotty McCreery and Carrie Underwood each speaking out about being at the awards show, touring, and some of their plans for the holiday season. Carrie says that she was in so much of a tour bubble that she did not even know who was performing at the show, whereas Scotty talked a little bit about why he is still excited to attend awards shows over a year after his season 11 win. (His runner-up in Lauren Alaina ended up taking the trophy for New Artist.)
More from Adam Lambert – In going from country music to pop, Adam Lambert revealed in an interview on VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz” Tuesday that the people in Madonna’s camp have chosen him to perform one of her classic songs for the all-important “Divas” show airing on the network Sunday night. Sadly, he would not disclose any more information other than that.
Adam also talks a little bit in the interview about having the honor to host the show, along with sharing a few more details about his life. (Sadly, this clip is for American audiences only. Sorry, international fans.) We are going to have more from the “Divas” event a little later in the week, so stay tuned.
