Is Stumptown new tonight on ABC? A look at upcoming cases
Let’s get the first bit of news out of the way here now — there is no new episode tonight, alas. The powers-that-be over at the network have decided that we need a little break in the action and understandably so. It’s the day before Thanksgiving! There’s going to be so much competition out there and nobody wants to compete with that. That’s especially true for a first-year show like this, one that understandably will want to keep as many viewers as possibly. It may have received more season 1 episodes, but that by no means is a guarantee that there will be a season 2 down the road.
So while you do wait for some more new episodes, why not share what you’re specifically waiting for? We think that the synopses below give you a nice little slice of the action.
Episode 8, “The Other Woman” (December 4) – Dex is confronted with unresolved feelings from her past when she is hired by Sue Lynn to investigate a case with the widow of Dex’s former flame. Meanwhile, Dex and Grey’s friendship is put to the test by his new romance with Liz.
Episode 9, “Dex Education” (December 11) – Dex goes undercover as a high school substitute teacher after an old classmate of hers enlists her help to find out who planted drugs on her daughter. Meanwhile, Dex and Liz’s relationship gets too close for comfort…
While the synopsis for “Dex Education” doesn’t indicate one way or another that this will be the final episode of the calendar year, don’t be surprised if it is. It would make sense for this to be the time for ABC to send the show off on a little bit of a holiday break, only to return in 2020 for more…
Remember that if you love Stumptown, the best way to ensure that it sticks around is to keep watching it (especially live) and supporting it.
