This Is Us season 4 episode 8 spoilers: ‘So Long, Marianne’

Next week, This Is Us season 4 episode 8 is delivering an installment called “So Long, Marianne” — and it’s about Thanksgiving. This is going to bring much of the adult Pearson family together for the first time in a while, and this could prove valuable when it comes to big emotional reveals and then also preparing for the future.

We’ve seen the Pearsons go on some journeys so far this season, and we like to think that many of them have been powerful. Toby and Kate, for example, have learned a thing or two more about how they can keep the spark alive even while being new parents. Meanwhile, Randall has learned how to be the best Councilman possible, while Kevin has learned a little more about how to give to others after spending so much time in Bradford, Pennsylvia with Nicky and also Cassidy. We’re seeing some characters do their part in order to move forward … though that does often mean some steps backward along the way.

Through this episode of This Is Us, we imagine that there will be a LOT of emotional reveals … especially since Thanksgiving is the time when a lot of this sort of stuff comes up. We imagine that we’ll see some arguments, but the family coming together at the end of everything.

Also, is it too much to ask for a flash-forward tease or something where we get a larger sense of what’s happening next for the Pearson family? At this moment, that’d be very much appreciated. The promo below DOES tease a lot of emotional stuff coming for Rebecca as it seems as though she’s struggling with her memory.
