God Friended Me season 2 episode 6 sneak peek: Who is Elena?

Coming up on God Friended Me season 2 episode 6 this weekend, there’s a friend suggestion by the name of Elena. So who is she, and how does she factor into the overall story? These are both valuable questions, but CBS for the moment is hiding some cards away.

For now, here is what we can tell you courtesy of the new sneak peek below. Elena is someone who is in the process of trying to become very successful within the world of MMA fighting. She is a social worker by day, and she is working to prepare for a match that could change her entire life. Everything seems to be going great for her … but that then leads to a really important question. Why in the world did Miles get her as a friend suggestion? This in itself suggests that there is something more lurking underneath the surface here, but it’s hard to properly sense what it is.

Perhaps this is where Cara as a journalist comes into play. We know already that she is facing a very different environment at Catapult than the one that she left. She doesn’t just get to start back up in the same spot that she once had; instead, she’s gotta claw and scrap her way back to the top. With Elena, she may sense an opportunity to tell an interesting story, but rest assured that there’s something more than that at the center of everything. She also recognizes that there’s a good chance to use this interview to get to the bottom of why Elena may need some help.

Based on some of the details that are out there already about this episode, what Elena is working through may have something to do with why she has decided to get out there and fight. There may be a specific motivation that she has for doing some of what she is, and may have to do with something painful from her past. This will constitute the emotional part of the story, but we still imagine more God Account clues and hints to be sprinkled throughout! After all, isn’t this the foundation for this show overall?
