Wynonna Earp season 4: When will the cast start filming?
So when will the cameras get rolling officially? In the event you haven’t heard already, we’re going to see the cast and crew back in the Calgary area at work early in the new year — think January. This was expounded up in a new piece over at TV Guide, one where star Melanie Scrofano had the following to say about the feeling that will result from everyone being back together:
“I think there’s probably going to be a huge cheer at that first table read, not just for the cast but our crew loves this show and they work so hard and they’ve wanted to be back since a long time ago … So I think we’re all gonna, cast and crew, just come together and party.”
While working on just about any show could be a strange, surreal experience, we imagine it is even more so with Wynonna Earp. Think about it this way — you’re filming in a freakishly cold place in the middle of winter, and for many of the cast, you’re fare from home. This means that you’re going to bond with the cast and crew as you brave the low temperatures and create the best show possible. While the conditions may at times be tough, we do think there are so many benefits to the production operating in the way in which they do — there’s a unique color palette present in this environment, and it also helps to give the story more of a rugged feel.
Story-wise, we imagine that there are going to be a few surprises — the writers have been basically handed two years to think up new ideas and ways to circumvent expectations. In other words, this is going to be fun.
