Making It season 2 premiere date revealed — with a unique schedule!
Now, we are pleased to see that Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman are going to be back with another batch of episodes, and you’ll have a chance to dive into this artsy world this holiday season! NBC confirmed today (via TVInsider) that season 2 will launch on Monday, December 2 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, and then will air every night throughout the week, Monday through Friday. Following the December 5 airing, it will return on December 9 and 10 with normal airings and then a finale on December 11 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. It’s two hours long to accommodate the additional goodies the show is sending your way.
Why schedule the show like this? It may be NBC trying to follow the lead of ABC and other networks who churn out specialty programming in the holiday season to some success. Also, this is such a lighthearted and fun show that it feels right for the holidays … even if it’s not seasonal in nature. This is when most people do have a tendency to do most of their decorating, so there is a little bit of a tie-in with that in mind.
If you’re new to the series and want to know a little bit more of what it’s about (and you don’t mind being spoiled on the first season’s end result), check out the video below! Even if you don’t love the standard reality TV fare, you may love this — it’s a little bit less about preaching near-constant drama and more about celebrating uplifting, personal stories of makers who are very much passionate in every little thing that they do. It’s bound to make you smile.
