Evil episode 5 spoilers: Halloween episode details!
What will these scary things entail? Think along the lines of an exorcism (feels natural for this show, right?), but then also some other struggles … and maybe even a few humorous things here and there, as well! This show doesn’t always have to be about finding new ways to freak you out…
Below, CarterMatt has the official Evil episode 5 synopsis with some other news as to what’s coming up next:
“October 31” – On Halloween night, Kristen and David are sent to assess an exorcism, but once the pair analyzes the situation, they are at odds while trying to determine whether it is a supernatural demonic possession, or severe mental disease escalated by physical and mental distress. Also, Ben goes on his favorite show, “Demon Hunters,” where he debunks their supernatural finds with fellow unbeliever Vanessa (Nicole Shalhoub), on EVIL, Thursday, Oct. 24 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
For those of you who are wondering why an episode entitled “October 31” is not airing on Halloween night, the simple answer is this: CBS is being cautious. They do recognize that there are a lot of people who will be off doing other things on that particular night. The last thing that they want to do is set themselves up for some potential failure later by airing an episode — even a scary one — when people are not around. (There will be a repeat airing on the night.)
We still have a lot of faith in Evil turning out to be one of the most exciting new series on the air. It’s weird, twisted, and it’s definitely bringing something to CBS that they aren’t really getting anywhere else. Yet, in order for the show to get more episodes, there needs to be some steadiness when it comes to the ratings. We don’t think that we’re at the point just yet where we can say that the ratings have leveled off.
