Bless This Mess episode 5 return date, Halloween episode details!
Let’s go ahead and get some of the bad news out of the way here — there is no new episode airing on ABC next week. What’s the reason for that? It’s fairly simple — Halloween specials. This is something that the network does every year to generate some consistent ratings off of family programming. They can take their programs off the air for a week, get a punch of ratings, and then come back for more in one week’s time. That is when Bless This Mess episode 5 will be back on the air — Tuesday, October 29 in its typical timeslot. (For those wondering, The Conners is also off the air next week, but there will be new episodes of mixed-ish and then also black-ish.)
Now, let’s get to the story. Below, CarterMatt has the full Bless This Mess episode 5 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming:
Mike and Rio first met on Halloween years ago, so now Mike loves to commemorate the holiday by scaring the wits out of Rio all night. Unbeknownst to Mike, Rio actually hates the scares but is afraid to tell Mike. When Rio turns the tables on Mike and tries to scare him into ending Scare Night, Mike gets bitten by a bat and the night escalates from there on.
This is going to be an episode to dive into a lot of fun stuff, especially with it airing just two days from Halloween itself. Because the first season of the show aired in the spring, it hasn’t had as many opportunities to commemorate holidays as some others out there. This is why we’re hoping that Bless This Mess makes the most of this opportunity to create something memorable here — holiday specials are a great way to get into people’s homes every year, and maybe commence them along the way to watch other stuff. That’s one of the things that The Big Bang Theory did so well with its own Christmas episodes.
