Charmed season 2 episode 2 spoilers: Taking on a different world

Charmed season 2 episode 2 will be coming onto The CW in one week’s time, and it does already seem like the series has a goal of evolution. Entering this fall, one of the things that was said was that the series would be moving in a darker, more supernatural direction. Now that we know the characters as well as we do, that opens the door for some other craziness and chaos. It means more opportunity to see shocking twists and to play along with demons, villains, and matters of life and death.

The Charmed season 2 episode 2 title in so many ways accents this — “Things To Do in Seattle When You’re Dead.” That almost feels like a bizarre travel guide you find in a zombie airport. This episode itself will allow the Charmed Ones to find themselves facing new challenges and oddities, especially when it comes to new parameters in their world. Just ask Macy for a second what that looks like.

SAVE US – The Charmed Ones must learn to navigate the new world they now inhabit. Macy (Madeleine Mantock) tries making sense of some very intense dreams and Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) try to accept their new roles. Harry (Rupert Evans) isn’t quite himself ever since his encounter with the hooded villain, forcing he and Mel to go on an old-fashioned road trip in search of the demons attempting to bring about the extinction of all witches. A personal loss strengthens the bond between Maggie and Mel. Also starring Jordan Donica. Nick Gomez directed the episode written by Joey Falco (#202). Original airdate 10/18/2019.

Sound exciting? This is the sort of stuff that the writers are looking to throw into the cauldron this season — and while much of it may be crazy and supernaturally-tinged, it doesn’t change the fact that Charmed is, at its core, a show that is personal and themed around these characters and how they find a way to survive. They have to find their glimmers of hope and things to cling to amidst the overall chaos … so let’s just hope that they can figure this out over time.
