Arrow season 8 video: Stephen Amell, cast discuss lessons learned
Recorded earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con (but just recently released) this clip features Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Rick Gonzalez, and Juliana Harkavy discussing the experience of working on a long-running show like this. While all of them have had gigs before on television, this one is clearly something different. This is a series that has gone on for almost a decade, and for many of them, it’s their longest-tenured role by a mile. They have learned a lot about their characters over time, they have collaborates with the writers, and they have had a wonderful opportunity to explore all sorts of interesting material. That’s just not something that everyone has a chance to do on a show that lasts just a season or two, or one where you are recurring as opposed to being a full-fledged regular.

On the other side of this, the cast plays almost a collective version of the dating game, where they all do their best to predict what their fellow cast members will say — including what is the last song that Juliana sang to herself or what is Rick’s favorite board game. We think that the answers here are a pretty strong indicator that these people all spend a TON of time together.
The Arrow final season will no doubt be emotional, as you watch Oliver do what he can to prepare for Crisis On Infinite Earths and whatever else lies on the other side of the horizon. How Oliver interacts with the rest of the cast remains to be seen, and the same goes for how the show continues to move forward without Emily Bett Rickards, who departed at the end of season 7.
