Chesapeake Shores season 4 episode 3 preview: Abby is served!

Chesapeake Shores season 4 episode 3 is set to arrive on the Hallmark Channel Sunday night, and all signs suggest that drama is ahead for Abby. She made a decision in blowing a whistle on a Ponzi scheme, and while it may have been the right thing for her in the moment, it could have serious consequences. How much so? Think along the lines of being served! That’s one of the things that you see in the promo below for the upcoming episode.

This installment will be one that involves around relationships (of course), and struggles that involve both the short-term and long-term future. Take, for example, what’s going on with Kevin as he has to figure out what he wants to do when it comes to a location for his wedding.

The consequences of blowing the whistle on a Ponzi scheme begin to hit Abby (Meghan Ory) on “Chesapeake Shores,” and her family rallies around her in “A Sonnet for Caroline,” premiering Sunday, September 8 (8 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel. As she faces both legal and professional ramifications, Abby tries to distract herself by volunteering during her leave from work and meets an intriguing new man. Trace (Jesse Metcalfe) mentors Emma (Lanie McAuley), a waitress and songwriter, and encourages her to perform her music at The Bridge. Mick (Treat Williams) and Megan (Barbara Niven) fear that the return of their romantic feelings will complicate their friendship.

Fortunately, Nell (Diane Ladd) is back in town as a confidant for Megan. Jess (Laci J. Mailey) and David (Carlo Marks) navigate a bidding war for a new B&B. Meanwhile, Kevin (Brendan Penny) discovers that his family’s good intentions have Sarah (Jessica Sipos) feeling overwhelmed; and Bree (Emilie Ullerup) and Connor (Andrew Francis) contemplate their futures with Simon (Oliver Rice) and Danielle (Britt Irvin), respectively.

In true Chesapeake Shores fashion, there is a lot going on within this episode. Take, for example, Emma debating whether or not she is ready to perform, or Abby trying to distract from her troubles by focusing on other people and maybe a new relationship. We’re still early within the season, but we have a feeling that the writers are wanting to dive both feet in on a wide array of different stories and ideas.
