Supergirl season 5 premiere photos: What lies ahead in ‘Event Horizon’
This image is one of the first few that The CW has revealed from its still-mysterious premiere, with one of the other ones being the show debut of Kara Danvers wearing her new costume. While we’ve seen the new outfit (featuring pants as opposed to the skirt) within some various photos already, most of them are just for the sake of showing the outfit off. Here is how it looks within the episode itself.
We knew that entering season 5, one of the top priorities is going to be seeing how Supergirl and the other heroes deal with a dangerous threat that is looming underneath the surface — one that is known for the most part as Leviathan. We know that Eve is a part of that somehow, but their larger purposes and goals are something that we’re still hoping to get some answers for as we get a little bit deeper into the season as a whole. Technology is one of the key themes to what lies ahead — we know that it is something that can make a whole lot of people happy but, at the same time, it can be a source of so much misery. You can become so addicted to the flashing lights and the sense of “connectivity” that you miss some more of the natural connections that are lying right in front of you.
Throughout the remainder of season 5, we’re expecting to see Kara and the rest of the show’s characters both enforce these themes while take on some conflicts of their own. For example, we know that Kara is going to have her hands full dealing with Lena, someone more than upset over everything that transpired at the end of this past season with the big secret finally coming out.
