NBC’s ‘Revolution’ spoilers: A different side of Giancarlo Esposito
Giancarlo Esposito’s character of Captain Neville is already one of the most interesting on all of “Revolution,” and this is with us at the moment really not knowing very much about him at all. Thankfully, that is not going to stay that way soon. We already know that we are going to be meeting his wife at some point in the near future, and now, we are also finding out that we are also going to learn quite a bit still about his past.
Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, Giancarlo Esposito had the following to say about what we can expect to see from Neville at some point in the near future:
“You’ll learn that he had a very different personality before … You’ll learn that he has a little bit of compassion.”
Really, at this point what we are really interested in seeing from this show is some definition with its characters, and one of the ways to do that may be via some more flashbacks showing what life has been like for these people over the past decade and a half. After all, most of what we have tragically seen thus far is just a series of people walking around from one location to the next, and there has not really been that much further story to go along with it that tells us something new about these people. One of the most interesting things about any villain is seeing the path that made them into such a person; and when it comes to Neville, we are sure that it is going to be interesting thanks largely in part to the man playing the role.
The news “Revolution” is airing on Monday night, and we are going to have some more news about is coming up soon (including a sneak peek).
