Blindspot season 4 episode 17 return date: Operation save Jane
There is no new episode next week, so let’s go ahead and get that out of the way. If you’re clamoring for a reason why, it’s because yet again, NBC is delivering two episodes of The Blacklist — think of it as more compensation on their part for not giving us new episodes of that show in the fall. It’s having to make up for lost time given that there are only so many weeks between now and May sweeps, and when you think about Blindspot, it’s still got plenty of time to air out the remainder of its season. There are six installments still to go and if they continue weekly following the show’s return, season 4 will be done fairly early in May. (For those wondering, we anticipate that the network will air the final six uninterrupted, though that has not been confirmed as of yet.)
We can confirm, however, that season 4 episode 17, entitled “The Night of the Dying Breath” (ominous, no?) is going to be coming on Friday, February 6. Clearly, NBC is making you wait to see it, but the hope here is that it proves to be very much worth it. We know that the story will leave Jane Doe at the end of her rope, and also at the possible end of her life. She’ll find herself in peril, struggling to stay afloat and having a difficult time coming to terms with the world that is swirling around her.
Below, CarterMatt does have the official Blindspot season 4 episode 15 synopsis with a little more key intel as to what’s coming up next:
04/05/2019 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Friday) : The team races against the clock to save Jane (Jaimie Alexander) from a killer’s nightmarish scheme. Also starring Sullivan Stapleton as Kurt Weller, Rob Brown as Edgar Reade, Audrey Esparza as Tasha Zapata, Ashley Johnson as Patterson and Ennis Esmer as Rich DotCom. TV-14 V
This is an episode that is designed largely for the purpose of having your heart race and your hair standing on end. The creative team of Blindspot wants you to be nervous to be however concerned as you can be given that Jane is the lead and with that, will probably emerge in one piece. The cause for nervousness for us is not so much whether she’ll be okay physically; instead, it’s more what will come for her on the other side of this. Is there any obvious trauma that will need attending to? Is a lengthy recovery period possible? These are important causes for concern … alongside the monolith for concern that is in front of all of us in terms of the show’s renewal hopes. It would be incredible in the event we heard a little something more about a season 5 renewal by the time this episode airs … but we are a little nervous that NBC is going to make us sweat this one out until May. That’s what happens when you’re dealing with an outside studio, as is what is going on here with Warner Bros. TV.
