The Masked Singer finale review: Did Monster, Bee, or Peacock win?
We know that there are people who watch this show for a number of reasons — for some, it’s the performances. For others, it’s the reveals. This article is all about the performances; there will be more time to talk about some of the big reveals a little bit later.

One of the things that we’ve been so impressed about with the Bee, the Monster, and the Peacock is that it’s always been about more than just the song for them. It’s been about the experience — the dancing, the emotion, or just staying in the character. The Bee is probably the best overall singer of the group, but we’d give it to the Monster for delivering a unique performance every single week. He’s done about every genre known to mankind and we’ve seen him do some fun stuff week in and week out because of that.
Let’s go through some of the places for tonight’s finale, one right after the next.
Third place
It was … The Bee! This is somewhat of a surprise given that she is a living legend and we thought that the quality of her performances would be enough for her to work her way into the top two. We love that it was Gladys Knight, and we do love seeing just how emotional everyone got hearing her perform “I Can’t Make You Love Me” while in her signature costume (minus the mask).
Second Place
The Peacock! He’s been a consummate supporter all season long, but we understand why he didn’t win. It felt like we had more vulnerable moments featuring the Monster and also the Bee. Apparently, Donny had been going over from Las Vegas and doing his show throughout the time he was filming.
The winner
The Monster is the victor! He managed to emerge victorious! He wins the Golden Mask … which is something, we guess. Such a weird prize but he seemed happy to have it. He had to stand around and basically wait for the Peacock to be revealed before it was revealed that T-Pain was under that mask! He’s a fitting winner for the first season and he now has a chance to be this great ambassador for the show. More than that, it seems like T-Pain thinks he has his life back and a chance to reinvent himself as more than just a guy who uses auto-tune to stand out.
