The Masked Singer: Rumer Willis unmasked as the Lion!

Tonight, The Masked Singer chose to unmask two different celebrities over the course of the hour, which of course meant we were losing someone good. This was the first episode where it genuinely felt like the eliminations weren’t as predictable, but someone still had to go home. Within this article, we are revealing the identity of Lion, someone who was really good all season!

Did it make some sense to reveal the Lion at this point? Certainly, mostly because she was the only non-professional singer seemingly left in the competition. She’s also one of a select few contestants who the judges have been clueless about for a while. Most of the panel thought that she was a member of Destiny’s Child, whether it be either Michelle Williams or Kelly Rowland.

Then … it was revealed to be Rumer Willis! There were some good clues in here related to her father’s movies, the town of Hailey, and also her role on Empire, but the judges didn’t pick up on any of them. Nick Cannon officially coined her “the white Kelly Rowland,” which is also a joke that Nicole Scherzinger made before they knew her true identity.

We think that Willis may actually come out of this show more successful than anyone else, mostly because of the fact she wasn’t a singer before and moving forward, she could get some sort of album going off of this. The other remaining contestants technically already have careers in that place, one way or another. We’re excited to know who the Lion is, but since she was unpredictable, it would’ve been nice to have her around in the finale.
