While Meredith breaks a hospital record, the rest of the doctors are sent scrambling in the wake of a massive overdose within the community. Meanwhile, Jackson wants to take a reluctant Maggie camping, and Levi and Nico’s relationship continues to develop.
The happy thing worth noting here is Meredith breaking a record … or at least we’re hoping that it is a happy record. Who in the world would want to keep track of something that is depressing? We think that it’s a victory, but one of the things that we’ve come to learn about Meredith Grey over the years is that she doesn’t really take a whole lot of time in order to cherish records. She just moves forward, and that is probably the same sort of thing that she is going to do here.
As for some of the other stories you’re going to see in here, we’ll see if this experience between Jackie and Maggie helps them at all. We know that Jackson did spend a good bit of time earlier this season off the map, and this may be his way of showing Maggie to a certain extent just what that was like. (Of course, camping’s not for everyone — we say that from experience.)
It’s also nice to see things continuing to progress for Levi and Nico — they’ve been almost the early-dating honeymoon phase as of late, and as much as we like them, we’re assuming that this won’t stay this way forever. There are always going to be issues that surface.
