The Orville star Adrianne Palicki open to Agents of SHIELD return
Clearly, Palicki’s career is doing just fine given that she is now one of the leads over on Fox’s The Orville. Yet, there is still a desire to get her back as Mockingbird for at least one more appearance. Here’s some of what she had to say about a return to TVLine recently:
Listen, if they ask me to come back, I would absolutely come back. I was like, “Nick [Blood] came back [for a Season 5 episode] — what the hell, guys?”
Given that Agents of SHIELD season 6 wrapped up filming last year, it feels reasonably fair to assume that Palicki was not a part of that production. Yet, at the same exact time anything is possible (in theory) — if she was a part of it, don’t you think that ABC would force everyone to keep that a secret? Well, we do think it’s unlikely. Anyway, we’re holding out hope for some sort of season 7 appearance, especially when you consider the fact that the show’s future beyond that season is currently unclear. We’d love for there to be a season 8 or even more, but given the way television contracts tend to work we’re certainly aware that season 7 could be the end — which would still be a cause for celebration in its own right. Just think about how long Agents of SHIELD has been on the air, and also how long it has been on the bubble.
Season 6 of the ABC series is going to be premiering this coming summer. Meanwhile, the second season of The Orville is going to be airing on Fox on Thursday nights following its recent premiere on Sunday night. Due to it having shorter episode orders, we do think that there is some flexibility for its cast to flutter around and try some other things.
