Of course, with that said we really should note that you are going to be waiting a while to get Tim Allen, Nancy Travis, and the rest of the cast back on the air. How long? Think in terms of a few weeks. Episode 8 is poised now to air on Friday, December 7 — that means there’s no new episode next week for Black Friday (hardly a shock) and there is also no episode the following week, either. Fox ix making you wait, but it definitely does feel like it’s going to be worthwhile in the end.
As for precisely what’s coming up, the December 7 episode is entitled “HR’s Rough n’ Stuff,” which feels like a long way to go for a reference to H.R. Pufnstuf, a fairly obscure television show that aired almost fifty years ago. Still, we kind of appreciate the effort here! The story itself is going to throw the Kyle character into a tough spot — he’s got a new gig over at Outdoor Man, but he will find himself in a position soon after this where he has to handle a complaint filed against Mike. Jay Leno’s going to return for this episode, and it actually seems like his character Joe is one of the people doing some of the complaining.

Meanwhile, Ryan finds himself in the doghouse when he, Kristen and Boyd take care of a neighbor’s puppy in the all-new “HR’s Rough n’ Stuff” episode of LAST MAN STANDING airing Friday, Dec. 7 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Where’s the road-trip episode?
That’s a good question. Originally, there was meant to be an installment in “Three for the Road” that is going to be airing this month, but that was pushed back for whatever reason. We actually thought that it would be the first one to air after tonight but, alas, that is not the case. There’s a good chance that this episode could end up airing in 2018, depending of course on what Fox has planned for the remainder of December. We like to think that there’s going to be a Christmas episode wedged in there somewhere…
