Alas, because of Thanksgiving, we are going to see a small break in the action for Danielle Rose Russell and the rest of the cast. The series will be back on The CW come Thursday, November 29 with an installment entitled “Malivore,” which we like to think is a monster who just eats really bad things. Then again, if that’s the case, is it really a monster at all? This story will probably explain it further. Also, it’s a little bit funny that Legacies is choosing to a story all about an election a couple of weeks after the midterms. Maybe this is the series’ way of touching on it without at the same time throwing anything super-political in our face. It doesn’t seem as though Legacies is giving us Democrats versus Republicans. Instead, this is just more about an honor council at the school and some of the characters trying to figure out if they have a place on it. Meanwhile, you’ll see some of these characters work to try and navigate some more difficult social dynamics, and Hope will try to solve the great mystery that is Landon.

Below, CarterMatt does offer the Legacies episode 5 synopsis, which does do a good job of offering some more insight into what is coming up on the series next:

ELECTION FEVER – Tensions rise among the students after Alaric (Matthew Davis) decides to give the students a bigger voice by forming an honor council. Determined to find out more about Landon’s (Aria Shahghasemi) past, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) does a series of magical tests on him. Meanwhile, Alaric and Dorian (guest star Demetrius Bridge) take on the next creature to try and find out what they want and where they are coming from. Michael Karasick directed the episode written by Thomas Brandon & Penny Cox (#105). Original airdate 11/29/2018.

We don’t need this episode of Legacies to do anything really crazy or try to reinvent the wheel; instead, we would just like for it to continue the fun storytelling that we’ve gotten to see so far, especially when it comes to some of the odd creatures and characters we’ve had a chance to meet along the way. This show has taken some elements of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals and after that, rolled them all into a neat little package.
