Poldark season 4 episode 8 (finale) preview: Elizabeth’s delivery

Are you prepared for Poldark season 4 episode 8 to arrive on PBS in one week’s time? We hope so, as it marks the big finale! This is the last installment on the series to air in 2018; after this, there is a pretty-long wait for the fifth and final season to air. Filming on these episodes is happening at the moment and more than likely, they will air in the United Kingdom at some point in the summer of 2019.

So what is coming up over the course of the finale? There’s a lot to be aware of as a number of different stories are all coming to a head. For example, all with Elizabeth and George is coming to a head. His insecurities towards her about Valentine are on another level and she is desperate in order to ensure that all of this drama is in the rear-view mirror. The last thing that she wants to admit, especially right now, is that Ross Poldark may very well be Valentine’s father. There is also another baby entering the Warleggans’ world in the finale, though with this birth may also come some other complications.

Beyond just Elizabeth’s story, though, there are many other things to be watchful of, as well. Take, for example, getting to see some of what lies ahead for Drake after he makes some big decisions when it comes to Morwenna. Meanwhile, beyond just this you are also going to have a chance to see Ross try to embrace the future with Demelza after the incident / duel with Adderley in London. They have some issues to talk through; they are not the same sort of issues as what they experienced in the past, though, so here’s to hoping that they can find their way to navigate through them.

Elizabeth hopes to persuade George that Valentine is his child. Ross tries to mend things with Demelza. Dwight delivers the Warleggans a daughter and George tells Elizabeth of his knighthood. The Poldarks look to a new century of change together.

Will this be a happy finale?

In moments, yes — the problem is that we are talking about just moments. There are many other moments that may induce some severe cases of frowning and/or tears. Poldark is a series known for bringing out a lot of emotions at one time and this finale will likely not be any different from start to finish.
