The Last Ship season 5 episode 9 preview: The last before series finale
Going into the upcoming episode, we do know already how the metaphorical table is set. At the moment, Chandler and the United States have scored a win against Gran Colombia, defeating their forces who attempted to overtake the Command Center. While there were casualties, there is now a chance to move forward. The remaining survivors have to figure out a way in which to survive now and, to go along with it, how to manage to live in the aftermath of it. Maybe there have been some peaceful moments here and there this season, but they have been in between the time jumps that we’ve seen between seasons.
Given that we are mere steps away from the series finale, it shouldn’t be shock that TNT isn’t giving away all that much about the upcoming episodes. For the time being, The Last Ship season 5 episode 9 synopsis below is all we have:
The crew of Nathan James begin preparations for what may be their most ambitious mission to date.
By the end of this episode, there is a reasonably good chance that there could be an even higher body count — this is war, and we certainly do expect there to be some casualties as a result of it. We do also think that we’re gearing up for a showdown against Gustavo, but it is probably not one that will happen until the end of the season. While we do anticipate that there’s going to be some sort of aftermath to this war shown, it’ll probably be just a handful of minutes. We doubt it’ll be a full episode.
