Arrow season 7 spoilers: What will Oliver, Felicity reunion be like?
The unfortunate thing is that you may be waiting for quite a while in order to see it. I don’t get the sense that the writers are moving Oliver out of prison anytime soon and with that, there’s no way to have that proper reunion. Her visiting him in prison is one thing, but they can hardly be honest in that environment with so many eyes watching.
However, Arrow is not a show that is intent on keeping two of its main characters apart for the remainder of the series. It’s fair to assume that eventually, Olicity will be back in one another’s orbit again. When that happens, there will be a chance for the two to repair things … but it may not happen as easily as some fans would hope. That’s a byproduct of both spending so much time together and everything that happened leading up to this point. They have a lot that needs to be done to prepare what’s happened.
Speaking via TV Guide, Emily Bett Rickards had the following to say on the subject:
Yeah, I think there’s definitely going to be a fracture. There already was, Felicity’s already said, “You’ve decided — Oliver’s decided to do this alone. It didn’t include me.” There’s already a fracture, so where do we move from that?
Do I think that Oliver and Felicity will get back to a much better place? In due time, absolutely; yet, all of this does lead to even more questions when you look towards the fast-forward timeline and Oliver and Felicity are nowhere to be found when it comes to the adult William. That story is raising even more questions about the future of the show. (Remember that the Legends of Tomorrow episode that previously featured Oliver Queen is one that was born of a different timeline. It has since changed for many reasons, with Flashpoint being among them.)
