Supergirl season 4 episode 3 preview: ‘Man of Steel’ & Agent Liberty’s origins
This installment is meant to be an origin story of sorts for the aforementioned character, who could prove to be the Big Bad for the entire season. What we know about him is that he hates aliens and wants them gone from society. What we don’t know at the moment is why. That is what this episode will explain further. It’s not going to be your typical episode of the series, and we do still wonder if a part of the timing here has to do with having an episode early on that didn’t require much from Melissa Benoist. (Remember, she was doing her Broadway work until a little ways into production.)

For some other news regarding what to expect, take a look at the Supergirl season 4 episode 3 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:
XANDER BERKELEY GUEST STARS IN THE ORIGIN STORY OF AGENT LIBERTY – Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer) didn’t always hate aliens. Through a series of incidents, and input from his anti-alien father (guest star Xander Berkeley), Ben slowly transforms from a mild-mannered professor into the villainous Agent Liberty of today. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Rob Wright & Derek Simon (#403). Original airdate 10/28/2018
This episode is likely going to be a more intimate portrait of a character than you have come to expect from Supergirl as of late, and we do think that there is something that could prove to pay off with this. (Of course, the inevitable danger with this sort of episode is that if you don’t make the villain substantial enough, this will feel like a waste of time.)
