NCIS: Los Angeles season 10: Linda Hunt will appear in premiere episode
How did this come together? Well, it took a little bit of schedule rejiggering, but executive producer R. Scott Gemmill confirmed to TVLine that Hetty will in fact be back. He noted to the publication that she was “chomping at the bit” to return to the series, and that makes us very pleased since she’s such an important staple to the show.

As for how much we see of her moving forward, that remains to be seen. Last season, there were many episodes that did not feature Hunt, and story-wise that made some sense given that she was captured in Vietnam for a good bit of the year. Nonetheless, we’re hoping that the character does end up having a little bit more of a complete presence this time around, especially since it feels like the folks at the Los Angeles office are going to need a little bit of guidance from her given everything that they are going through at the moment. Many of the agents will likely spend the early part of the season recovering from what happened in Mexico, and from there, we’ll likely get to see them start to head back out in the field to do more of what they do best.
