Daredevil season 3 teaser: Matt Murdock will be back before long…

Daredevil

Following the end of Iron Fist season 2, Netflix delivered many Marvel fans out there a gift: A first look at Daredevil season 3.

In the video below, you can see Matt Murdock in a confessional, making a pretty clear (and shocking) statement: He would rather die as Daredevil than live as Matt Murdock. Following the end of The Defenders, it’s been more than a little clear that Matt is in a bad place, and this is going to be a very difficult, brutal season for the character. Basically, he doesn’t necessarily hold the same philosophy as he once did about justice; he now thinks that it is something that can and should be inflicted with violence rather than in a courtroom. If the series is going in this direction, just be prepared for this to be a slightly-different show than any we’ve seen before.

Also, you have to raise the question as to whether or not there is a way for Daredevil to eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel. If there is, does he discover it himself — or, does someone help him along the way?

Daredevil season 3 may premiere on Netflix a little bit later this year, and if that happens we’ll have had a heck of a full year with new seasons of this show, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist within a single year. We’re not complaining, but that’s certainly a lot of superhero drama over the course of a single year. We’d question whether or not this is possible to keep up, but The CW has been basically doing this and then some with five different superhero shows airing at the same time — and some of those have significantly more episodes than any of the Netflix shows.

Once there is a little bit more information about Daredevil season 3 out there beyond this trailer, of course we’ll have that for you here.
