NCIS star Brian Dietzen would love more Los Angeles, New Orleans crossovers
If these shows were only 13-episode seasons, maybe we’d be a bit more resistant to this idea since we’d probably want more of them exploring their own worlds and their own characters. Yet, when you are producing 22-24 episodes a season, why not mix things up here and there and figure out some ways to throw all of these characters into different stories? We haven’t seen a lot of these over the past couple of years; heck, the last time we saw an NCIS proper cast member visit Los Angeles was when Michael Weatherly did so! That was obviously years ago. (We do know that there is a brief appearance from Mark Harmon during the NCIS: New Orleans season 5 premiere.)

One actor who clearly is open to seeing more of these is NCIS star Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer — a character we’d love to interact more with some other franchise favorites. Speaking via CinemaBlend, he made his interest in doing more stories in this vein abundantly clear:
In all honesty, I’ve enjoyed watching the NCIS crossovers that we’ve had so far. I’ve always loved seeing those, and to be honest, I think that’s probably some of the best fan service there is, to say thank you to these fans that watch three different programs each week, all with the letters NCISin them, to have us kind of visit one another’s universe. I think it’s great, and I’d like to see more of it, if I’m being honest. I think the fans love it, and we as actors. There are some great actors on those other shows. It’s cool to get to hang out with them.
We certainly would love for there to be some sort of larger crossover event later this season, even though we recognize that the schedules are a little bit hard to sort out. Think about this as a great way to bring some attention to a sweeps period, and to give fans something to be excited to see that they haven’t before. A proper three-part crossover with every edition involved would be epic.
