Bodyguard episode 4 preview: The explosion aftermath
Below, the Bodyguard episode 4 synopsis offers up some more information when it comes to the series:
The events of the night before play out for the Home Secretary Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes) and her Specialist Protection Officer David Budd (Richard Madden).
This episode is going to be very much about expanding the relationship between Julia Montague and David Budd, which also showing a fuller picture of the danger that exists around them. What’s been fascinating about this series so far is just how fascinating it has been. In some ways, it’s been largely relentless in its approach to telling great, dramatic, and emotionally complex stories. We know that David is already in too deep in just about every way. The explosion tonight was a game-changer, and this episode will hopefully serve to deliver more answers.
Yet, amidst all of the action and the intensity, we think the real strength of Bodyguard from what we’ve seen is how it really touches on and reminds you that these characters have humanity within them — David’s not some robotic member of a security team, and obviously, Montague is more than her controversial opinions. Yet, you do have to wonder why she doesn’t show that a little more often to the public. To call this relationship messy doesn’t do it justice.
We’re at the halfway point of this story, and we have a feeling that we’re only going to witness the relationship and the intrigue around it get more chaotic from here.
