Chicago PD season 6: New key art; early expectations
Let’s kick things off here, though, with the key art that was just released by the network. Isn’t this slick? We love the color scheme for this and the arrangement of many of the different characters. It does seem a little bit like Voight is the giant head watching over the entire rest of the team … but that may actually be a pretty accurate representation of the team in some ways.

Moving into season 6, there are certainly a number of different things that we’d like to see. For starters, can we get the emphasis back on some characters’ personal lives? We do think that the writers did a great job of creating an epic rivalry between Voight and Woods last year, but some other stories got left at the wayside. We’d like to see if anything develops in terms of new romantic relationships … or if anything changes at all when it comes to Burgess and Ruzek. We know that we’ve been waiting for that for a while.
Beyond that, we do think that the “Big Bad” structure did work well for the series last year and that could be replicated again. Why not have Anne Heche’s character take on that sort of role? We do think that she has value in this sort of spot, at least in that she’s technically a good character (at least on paper) who could still be adversarial to some of the rest of the season.
One other thing that would just be interested in seeing is a little more of why these characters wanted to be cops! Explore their past, since that helps to inform the future.
