Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 6 officially starts filming for NBC
In a post on Twitter (which you can see below), star Melissa Fumero confirmed the news in quite possibly the best possible way: With a gif of Terry Crews. A good gif of Terry Crews is the cure for many problems in the world.
There was a moment where fans thought the show was never coming back and our collective hearts were broke so just knowing that we get to continue to have some really great stories with interesting, memorable characters — plus a chance to see some great comedy along with it is something we truly appreciate. Despite this being a show about cops, we really think it’s the softer sides of some of these characters that is what makes this series so appealing.
Now that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is over on NBC, it also feels more like the series is in more of its natural home. It has a chance here to be fully supported by the studio that actually produces it, and what we also love about this is that it raises the odds even higher that we could see some more NBC stars appear on the show — including members of the SNL family, if there are some ways in which to make it work schedule-wise. We do recognize that everyone is going to be super-busy with that show and there is a cross-travel component to it, to go along with it, but we can dream.
There is no official premiere date at the moment for Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 6, but all indications are that you’re going to have a chance to see the latest season when we get around to midseason.
