The Good Doctor season 2 teaser: Freddie Highmore front and center

Good Doctor episode 2 ratings

You have likely have been waiting for some time to get the first substantial look at The Good Doctor season 2 — hopefully, this helps to tide you over!

The bad news about the new video below (courtesy of E! News) is that it doesn’t actually give us any real footage  as to what’s going to be coming up next. Yet, it does offer up a little bit more in the way of insight into Shaun Murphy’s mind, who he is, and the skills that he possesses. Even though it is not Freddie Highmore’s character who serves as the narrative, Richard Schiff as Dr. Glassman certainly does the job. We do think the part of having Glassman discussing how Shaun has helped him is a pretty clear reference to what went on with the cancer diagnosis and treatment at the end of this past season.

Moving forward, we’re hopefully going to get a chance to learn a little bit more when it comes to how Dr. Glassman is recovering, and also what Shaun is doing to further himself as a doctor and a person. With Lea (Paige Spara) returning, we have to imagine that this is going to be a nice boost to his feelings of self-worth. That was taken from him somewhat by Kenny at the end of season 1. That story, difficult as it was at times, was important for the sake of showing Shawn’s struggle.
