NCIS: New Orleans season 5: Rob Kerkovich co-writing episode
In a new post on Twitter, Kerkovich himself first confirmed the news, while also sharing that the title for his episode is none other than “Diplomatic Immunity.” Of course, it’s rather hard to speculate too much more on what lies ahead in this story beyond that, but this is still an exciting achievement nonetheless! We’ve seen TV actors as of late try their hand in the writers room, with one good example being Freddie Highmore writing for The Good Doctor earlier this year. Meanwhile, we have also seen over on Criminal Minds Kirsten Vangness work in the writers room, as well. It makes a lot of sense if the given actor has some writing talent. They’ve lived the head of their character for some time, and with that, they understand what makes them tick and the sort of decisions that they would make in any given moment.
Of course, this is the part of the article where we make the joke that Kerkovich’s episode will likely feature Sebastian rescuing every single member of the team from danger while, at the end of the episode, they all throw a celebratory parade in his honor and tell him how much they adore him. (This isn’t the first time Rob has written an episode of TV — he’s also done so on Happy Endings, a.k.a. a fantastic show that you probably did not watch.)
NCIS: New Orleans season 5 will premiere on CBS next month, and based on the information that is out there, you’re going to get to see everything from a new character (whose casting has surprisingly not been announced as of yet) to a milestone 100th episode that should celebrate everything that we’ve had a chance to see to date.
