Big Brother 20: The Hacker Competition enters the game; what is it?
At the end of the episode, Julie Chen announced that the Hacker Competition is going to enter the game … but she didn’t say too much more about it. All we know for sure is that it can impact the game. (Rest assured, we’re going to ask Allison Grodner about this in our weekly interview tomorrow!) We don’t want it to completely overtake the Head of Household, but if it does something like change the Veto Competition or give someone safety, that could be a fun new component. These twists have to be simple enough to explain on the CBS show, so we don’t think it’s going to make things TOO confusing to follow — or so we think.
We’re also just curious as to what this means for the power apps, given that Tyler and Bayleigh each still have one remaining in their possession. We don’t think it will offset those mostly because if it did, what would be the point? The producers do think many possible scenarios through before the start of the season and this had to be one of them.
Ultimately, we don’t think that the show necessarily needs another twist since things are plenty crazy as they are right now. Yet, we understand the desire to keep throwing things at you for the sake of drama. So long as it doesn’t completely unbalance the game, we’re probably going to be reasonably happy.
