Carole Radziwell leaving The Real Housewives of New York City
In a statement to People, it feels as though Radziwill is ready to move away from reality TV, which she has done for the better part of six years, and move on to doing some other projects instead:
“After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONY, I have decided to return to what I do best — journalism and producing … I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind. My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament.”
“I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind … I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy. Next.”
When you think about it, Radziwell had already lasted on this series longer than many people do in the entire world of The Real Housewives. This is a difficult universe to be a part of in the long-term, largely due to the fact that there’s so much constant drama and, with that, more than likely comes a good bit of constant stress. There are also a lot of time commitments that come with doing the show and while there are obvious benefits (it gives you a platform to do some other things), it does make sense to want to take a break from it here and there.
More than likely, there will be some casting news on the next season that comes out over the weeks ahead.
