Big Brother 20 live feed spoilers: Swaggy C’s last stand (day 23, afternoon)
In his final hours this afternoon, Swaggy has tried to campaign to Kaycee, much like he has a number of other people beforehand. His pitch is simple: Keep him because he is a threat, and because doing so will cause him to be a target over just about anyone. He can protect those who vote alongside him and be a target in front of them if the other side tries to make a move on him. It’s a reasonably sound argument and based on what we’ve seen from Swaggy to date, he’s actually fairly loyal. We don’t get the sense that he would stab someone in the back who just saved him from going home.
Yet, the problem here is that everyone, whether it be Kaycee to Rachel to Tyler to Sam, seems comfortable in the spot that they are in. They don’t necessarily see keeping Swaggy as a move that benefits their long-term, and this is actually where his alliance with Bayleigh may hurt him slightly. Because he’s attached to her as a duo and it’s obvious, anyone who votes to keep him likely knows that they will never be #1 in an alliance. He’s always going to put the interests of someone else over the person who is putting their game on the line to save him. (Bayleigh’s game is probably going to benefit heavily from Swaggy’s exit, mostly in that she can now be more of a free agent.)
As we indicated in our morning update, we’re going to miss Swaggy as a player this season. While he was far from the best strategist, at least he tried to campaign hard, he wanted to be there, and he wasn’t boring to watch. That is more than we can say for many other people.
