Good Trouble spoilers: Callie, Mariana will still need their family

Even though The Fosters spin-off Good Trouble is going to be shifting Callie and Mariana to Los Angeles from San Diego, rest assured of one thing: They are not going to be saying goodbye to their entire family for good. While we cannot confirm anything in terms of onscreen appearances just yet, it does look as though there are plans for Lena and Stef to still be included in the story in some form!

The video HERE comes via the show’s official Twitter account, and it features Cierra Ramirez (who plays Mariana) discussing this subject to a certain extent and how she Callie are still going to need their parents despite being a couple of hours away trying to live a new life for themselves. A big part of what makes this story so interesting is that you already know who these two characters are within the framework of the house and their family; this show is going to be about learning who they are somewhat separate from that; yet, they are still going to need their parents here and there, just like any person would. You want to have that element of familiarity there within your life.

Good Trouble first started filming earlier this summer, and we imagine that the new series is going to premiere on Freeform in the new year. Hopefully, there’s going to be a little bit more in the way of news to share, such as some sort of full trailer, a little later this year. For now, though, we’re excited to learn a little bit more about what this new chapter of the series could eventually end up bringing.
