Quick Hits: Riverdale season 3 tease; BoJack Horseman premiere date; The Sinner season 2 poster
In today’s edition of Quick Hits, we’re going to kick things off with a quick Riverdale season 3 tease — this time in the form of an episode title!
In a post on Twitter HERE, executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed that the title for the first episode back (airing this fall) is “Labor Day,” which is really meaningful mostly because the timing of the holiday (September, right around when school starts) coupled with the picture of Archie on trial as seen on the script cover. It feels pretty clear that this is the direction that the show is going in following the conclusion of season 2, which featured Archie Andrews being set up in one of the worst ways possible by Hiram Lodge.
As to whether or not Riverdale is going to actually wrap up the Archie-arrest story at some point during the premiere, that’s something we think is going to play out over time. Personally, we’d be rather fine if they find some sort of creative way to keep it going for a little while since there’s some interesting material to be mined here.
As for some other news from the day…
BoJack Horseman season 5 premiere date – The Will Arnett-led animated series, otherwise known as one of the best shows that you’re probably not watching, is going to be premiering on September 14. To get a small preview for what’s coming, you don’t have to look further than the image HERE.
First poster for The Sinner season 2 – Leading up to the show’s premiere this August, you can see a new poster via Entertainment Tonight. This reminds you that at the center of the second season is a young boy accused of murdering his parents. Signs point to him as the killer, but there’s still another important question Harry Ambrose needs to resolve: Why?
