The Fosters spin-off Good Trouble adds names to regular cast
For now, though, it does appear as though Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez are going to remain the only two members of the original show who are present here full-time. We wondered whether or not Beau Mirchoff, who played possible Callie love interest Jamie in the recent series finale, could be around here on a regular basis, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
For those wondering about some of the new additions, we’ve got some info for you below (via TVLine).
First, you’ve got Riverdale actor Tommy Martinez, who is going to be appearing throughout the spin-off as a “socially conscious graphic designer” named Gael who lives in the same apartment complex in Los Angeles. Maybe he becomes either a love interest or a friend to Callie or Mariana; either seem possible, at least for the time being.
Meanwhile, Under the Dome actress Zuri Adele is also going to be playing a former foster kid by the name of Malika, and we wonder if she also will be a part of the complex; Sherry Cola is set to be the manager of the complex by the name of Alice. As for how they factor into this show, that remains to be seen being that we don’t know many people who see their complex managers more than a few times a year.
One character you probably remember hearing about from The Fosters series finale is a conservative judge that Callie will be working as a clerk for. That person, Judge Wilson, will be played by Desperate Housewives alum Roger Bart. There are some other people who will be recurring in Emma Hunton as Davia, a teacher who also lives in the apartment complex, and Famous in Love actor Ken Kirby as Benjamin, a fellow clerk who works alongside Callie. (For the record, is Ken Kirby the perfect name for a superhero secret identity?)
Good Trouble will premiere on Freeform in the new year. Once there is some more news to report on this subject, we will have it for you here. For now, be sure to share your thoughts to this bit of casting news in the comments. (Photo: Freeform.)
