Billions season 3: Maggie Siff talks Wendy as finale nears
Ultimately, a part of what makes this character so fascinating is simply some of the circumstances that she surrounds herself with. We are speaking here, after all, about someone who has been stuck between Chuck and Axe for the entirety of the show. She’s found herself more in trouble because of that and even when she has some control, it has been somewhat on a knife’s edge. This is something that she talks about a little bit further in a new interview with CBS This Morning, where she talks about the character and her story. It’s a fascinating, in-depth look at how Wendy thinks and also what Siff looks for when crafting her performance. Check out a little bit more insight on that particular subject below:
“I would say where she sits morally is a little more ambiguous this season. She’s gotten more tangled up in the law herself. She’s been implicated. She’s had to do things to protect her family, things that you’ve never seen her do before, and that’s brought her a little closer to the moral compass of those two guys, which I think has actually been a really interesting component for the character ’cause you see the kind of depth and charge that she can have when she chooses to exert more force.”
Will things come to a head for Wendy in the finale? Quite possibly, but we don’t think Billions is the sort of show that feels pressure to craft a huge cliffhanger. Just remember that it doesn’t need to — the core of its story is intrigue and the back and forth between the characters.
