New Take Two preview airs during NBA Finals with Rachel Bilson, Eddie Cibrian

While we know that there are many different programs we’re excited to see this summer, few have us buzzing with excitement quite like Take Two on ABC. There’s just so much to like here on the surface, whether it be getting another show starring Rachel Bilson (we still miss Hart of Dixie) or getting to see Castle duo Terri Edda Miller and Andrew M. Marlowe have a new show on TV again. This has all the makings of a really fun summer mystery show that will pack in a lot of humor into each episode along with some interesting cases.

Of course, it also is going to be following a formula that works extremely well on network TV — if you haven’t heard too much about it, the logline below provides much of the necessary info:

From Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe, the creator and executive producers of ABC’s highly popular series “Castle,” comes this upbeat detective series that follows Sam Swift (Rachel Bilson), the former star of a hit cop series whose epic breakdown is broadcast to the public and sends her to rehab. Desperate to restart her career, she talks her way into shadowing lone-wolf private investigator Eddie Valetik (Eddie Cibrian) as research for a potential comeback role. Though Eddie resents the babysitting gig, high-spirited Sam uses the skills she learned as an actor playing a cop and proves herself to be surprisingly valuable.

You can check out a recent promo for the show below — there was a new clip that aired during the NBA Finals tonight, but unfortunately, that video isn’t on the internet just yet. This preview was a little cheekier than some of the others we’ve seen, mostly because it featured Eddie and Sam very close to each other (but not so much in a romantic way). Could this two turn romantic down the line? Well, we certainly saw that happen with Castle and Becket…
