Claws season 2 episode 1 spoilers: Getting back in the game

What’s coming up on Claws season 2 episode 1? Judging from the first information that we’ve got via TNT, signs point towards us having a chance to see an episode that really ignites the crazy almost right away. Moving into this season, we knew that there would be some sort of chance of Desna getting out. Yet, the truth of the matter here is that when you do some of the things that she’s done over the course of this series, that’s not something that is altogether easy to do. There are obstacles thrown in your direction at almost every turn and the best-laid plans are always going to go to waste. Desna will see that when she plans on separating herself from the criminal world and it quickly ends up blowing up in her face.

Below, the Claws season 2 episode 1 synopsis offers up some more information when it comes to what lies ahead:

Desna (Niecy Nash) and the girls struggle to keep their hope alive while still working under the thumb of the new Russian regime, spearheaded by Riva. A blissful Desna remains in the dark about her gangster/gyno boyfriend, Ruval (Jimmy Jean-Louis). Virginia (Karrueche Tran) tells Dean (Harold Perrineau) that she’s pregnant with his baby. A newly domesticated Polly (Carrie Preston) is jubilant when tasked with being a madam for an all-male dance troupe. Meanwhile, a depressed Uncle Daddy (Dean Norris), still reeling from the loss of his beloved Juanda, has been stripped of his Dixie Mafia kingdom and is forced to do menial jobs for the Russians. The power dynamic shifts once again when Riva’s sister, Zlata (Franka Potente), arrives to change the game.

Probably the best bit of good news we can offer up is that the Claws season 2 premiere is airing on Sunday, June 10 — that’s not too far away now!
