iZombie season 4 finale spoilers: The journey to help Liv

iZombie season 4 finale

The iZombie season 4 finale is set to be coming up on The CW next Monday and based on some preliminary details, there is a lot of different drama to anticipate. This is where the future of Liv could be on the line and where, as a whole, we’re going to be culminating much of the story to date.

The CW has a tendency to give away a lot of details about some of their upcoming episodes in advance, but here they are actually being rather coy. That should tell you at least something about how careful they are being in terms of handing out information. Here’s what we have on the iZombie season 4 finale via an official press release:

SEASON FINALE – Clive (Malcolm Goodwin), Ravi (Rahul Kohli), Peyton (Aly Michalka) and Major (Robert Buckley) work together to help Liv (Rose McIver). David Anders and Robert Knepper also star. Dan Etheridge directed the episode written by Rob Thomas (#413). Original airdate 5/28/2018.

We do think that all of this information is slightly altered thanks to the reveal that season 5 is going to be the final season of the show. It allows you to enter season 5 with a sense of finality; it reminds you that as fun as this journey may be, it’s not one that is going to go on forever. There is a new sense of perspective in mind. This is why in some ways we’re grateful for The CW as a network — sure, we got super-annoyed when they didn’t pick up Wayward Sisters and that’s not going away, but they do a pretty good job working to offer closure for some of their long-running series. In announcing the final season in advance Rob Thomas and the entire team now have an opportunity to conjure up an ending that feels fitting to the surrounding series as a whole.
