Timeless season 2 episode 10: What’s going to happen with Jessica?

It’s pretty obvious that fans of Timeless and Lucy were thrown for an unexpected loop when Wyatt’s supposedly dead wife turned up alive. Fans were upset by this because Wyatt and Lucy had just given into their feelings for each other and people were basking in the new relationship. However, when Jessica showed up again, Lucy told Wyatt to go back to her. Ever since then Lucy and Wyatt’s relationship has been a tad awkward. It’s clear that they both still have feelings for each other, but are conflicted with the situation. In last week’s episode, Jessica revealed that she was pregnant and that her brother, who Wyatt believed had died from cancer, is actually alive. So what will happen with this love triangle love story?

With Jessica pregnant and with the news about her brother, it’s becoming more and more clear that Jessica may have been brought back to life for Rittenhouse’s benefit. Something is off about Jessica’s return and everything that has happened seems to be too good to be true. We are happy Wyatt is getting a second chance, but could Jessica be a sleeper agent? It’s completely possible and would be a great twist. From the moment Jessica stepped back into Wyatt’s life, she’s been nice and has never given anyone a reason to suspect anything bad about her. The catch is that Rittenhouse sleeper agents are notorious for blending in until their moment of truth.

On the other hand, Jessica could be completely innocent and the team could have brought her back unexpectedly. We are hoping for a Wyatt and Lucy relationship, but maybe for the time being it will be a love triangle in order to create an awkward environment for the two and lend it’s way to some more really good storytelling. We know there was always chemistry with these two, but now it would be more obvious because they are stuck in a difficult situation where their feelings have to take a back seat which usually just makes them grow.

Either way, the writers brought Jessica into the mix for a reason and whatever that reason may be we can guess it is going to shake things up. Jessica has been quiet until now and her pregnancy reveal was the first time she, besides her text to Wyatt, disrupted the flow of the team. Wyatt was already in a tough position, now he is expecting a child with a woman he loves, but not as much as he used too.

Overall, the addition of Jessica shook things up and brought the show up a notch and we can’t wait to see where the story is going to take us next.
