SWAT episode 20 preview: Is Hondo’s job in jeopardy?

Next week on SWAT episode 20, you have to be prepared for a very different sort of situation for Shemar Moore’s Hondo than you’ve seen in the past. This is a character who has had his life on the line many times before, but with this particular case you could end up also seeing his job threatened.

What’s the reasoning for that? A big part of it ultimately has to do with a big discovery that is made by his bosses. He’s going to have a hard time with figuring out how to handle this; with that in mind, expect a pretty intense, exciting story for Shemar Moore. The more meaty material you give the actor, the better off the story is going to be.

Below, the STAR episode 20 synopsis is going to give you a little bit more insight on the subject of what is coming up:

“Vendetta” – Hondo’s life and career are endangered when his bosses and his godson’s kidnapper, Jae Kim (Kelvin Han Lee), discover he’s been secretly surveilling Kim with the help of retired DEA agent Katrina Walsh (MC Lyte). Also, Street and his newly paroled mother, Karen (Sherilyn Fenn), both have trouble acclimating to her prison release, on S.W.A.T., Thursday, May 3 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The Street storyline should prove interesting just because it’s something that is often difficult to depict — some of the specific struggles that people often do go through after going through a hard time behind bars. You aren’t treated the same upon your return to the real world and because of that, Karen could face so many more struggles than anyone would predict. It’s going to make for some emotional moments but we certainly hope that the two can get on the other side of them.
