Blindspot season 3 episode 18 return date: ‘Clamorous Night’ details
Let’s begin here with this: Blindspot season 3 episode 18 is going to be airing on NBC come Friday, April 20 — and with that, it should begin what is the final stretch of the season. Once we get to this point, there should be no other hiatus the rest of the way. There are only five more episodes left this season, with the finale date potentially set for May 18. If NBC waits to air the finale beyond that, Blindspot will be wrapping outside of sweeps — not ideal for any major broadcast network.
The next new episode of the series is entitled “Clamorous Night,” and the official synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below helps set the stage:
04/20/2018 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Friday) : The team faces a deadly threat on all of their lives. Roman’s (Luke Mitchell) allegiances are tested. Also starring Sullivan Stapleton (Kurt Weller), Jaimie Alexander (Jane Doe), Rob Brown (Edgar Reade), Audrey Esparza (Tasha Zapata) and Ashley Johnson (Patterson). Guest starring Ennis Esmer (Rich Dotcom), Gloria Reuben (Kira Evans), Bryce Pinkham (Jack Izenberg), Coral Pena (Alexis Parkin) and Lauren Stamile (Millicent Van Der Waal) TV-14 V
What is interesting after reading this is that in some ways, this is a circumvention of a pretty popular trope: The most dangerous episodes being the ones that lead into a hiatus. Instead, Blindspot seems to be kicking off the other side of the hiatus with a huge episode that puts some of the characters in grave danger. There is a risk that goes along with this in that the further the season goes on, the more expectation there will be to increase and build momentum. If you’re starting a big arc now then how do you end it even bigger than multiple lives in jeopardy?
Also, will there be a cliffhanger at the end of the finale? With there being no official season 4 at present, there is reason for concern.
