For this edition of TV Madness, we are putting the focus on a round 3 showdown between two shows that have been very much popular so far this year. In one corner, we have a series in The Blacklist that is certainly a fan favorite around these parts and entered the competition as a number 1 seed this year. Meanwhile, it is competing directly against one of the biggest Cinderella stories of our tournament in The Brave, which is currently battling for another season on the air and has its fans fighting for it like nobody’s business. Who will advance? That’s really up to you.
Now that we’ve set the stage, let’s get to breaking down these entries further. Voting for this round remains open until Sunday, March 25 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time.
The Blacklist (#1 seed) – The NBC series starring James Spader and Megan Boone faced off against some pretty big competition almost right away in the new CBS show SEAL Team. It was able to emerge from that battle in one piece, and then it moved forward to take on Chicago Fire, a show with one of the biggest fanbases out there. Getting to this point in the competition is a testament to the passion of all Blacklist fans out there and the enthusiasm that still exist for the series after all these years. Now, we just have to hope for some big surprises on the show itself.
The Brave (#7 seed) – The Brave this year is rather similar to Timeless last year. After all, both shows premiered on NBC and had the Monday night time slot following The Voice, and with that they were both able to build some very big, passionate followings. These particular fans proved already that they are willing to rally and do whatever it takes to get the show another season, and this tournament may at least be another way just to get the word out there about how great the show is and worthy of your time. to date, The Brave has already taken down Vikings and then also the extremely popular Shadowhunters.
